Josh Gersten: Drummer

Josh Gersten started drumming at the age of 18. By some that is quite a late start for learning an instrument but nevertheless he soon found himself touring the southwest with a rock band called EPIC. This was the beginning of his drumming experience and was just the beginning of a very busy and successful music career which he finds himself in today. He played and traveled around Arizona and the southwest with EPIC for many years. Josh has worked with many local artists thru the years recording drums, vocals and percussion for a variety of genres of music. He continues today working to help local artist's write, arrange and perform music. He is working continuously in the studio doing session work on drums, vocals and percussion.

He recently had a large role in a music project that had many great musicians performing such as Dan Tomlinson (drummer for Lyle Lovett, Acoustic Alchemy, George Benson, drum teacher and author), Todd Schuba (drummer for Tom Booth, married to Alice Tatum, seasoned session drummer), Buddy Strong (Keyboardist for USHER), John Knowlton (Guitarist for Nuance), Jon Rauhouse (pedal steel guitarist touring with Neco Case). Josh is currently playing drums and percussion in Shark Therapy and an indie artist named WAHBA. You can visit the WAHBA website for more info… www.wahba.net. He is also working continuously in the studio doing session work on drums, vocals and percussion for several local artists. He also has his own project "the lounge katz" in the studio which he is handling much of the drums, vocals and percussion along with song arrangement and instrumentation.

Josh will soon be performing as the percussionist for Brandon Reid. Brandon Reid will be opening the show for FFH at the venue of Scottsdale in August 06. Brandon Reid is an indie artist who just finished up recording his debut CD with Troy Lucketta (TESLA) handling the production.

Lisa Dow: Lead Vocals

Lisa Dow Lisa's love for singing and dancing stems back to growing up with a musical family. Her grandmother and great aunt performed with some of the "greats" in the early days of the Grand Ole Opry. Lisa's mom sang and danced on live radio shows in the 40's and her dad played piano and harmonica. Not to mention, his big beautiful voice! At the age of 16, Lisa began performing professionally with an Arizona dance company. This eventually led Lisa to devoting much of her time to acting/singing/dancing in community and professional plays and musicals, mostly in the Phoenix area from 1980 - 2004.

Lisa has graced the stages of Phoenix Theater, Gammage, Sundome, Symphony Hall, The Herberger Theater, Fountain Hills Theater, and Copperstate Dinner Theater. She has performed lead and supporting roles in shows such as: Nunsense, Noises Off, The Odd Couple, Evita, West Side Story, Hair, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Carousel, My Fair Lady (to name only a few!). Her roles in Anything Goes and Noises Off (of recent) got her nominations for Best Actress at the AriZony awards. Lisa feels fortunate to have been able to share the stage with such great theatrical talents as Buddy Ebsen, Theodore Bikel, John Cullum, and JoAnne Worley. Listening to her sister's records and transistor radios made a true impression on Lisa. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, (there are too many to mention) all made Lisa quite the music lover. With her passion for performance and love of music, Lisa has a great time performing with the The Lounge Katz.
